Come and help the network get cracking! Bellingham NetworkSCBWI Western Washington's Northern Network invites you to our May Schmooze. This is our last meeting before the summer break, but we hope to get together once during the summer for a social picnic and network brainstorming session. Northern Network Schmooze Tuesday, May 4, 7:00-9:00 pm The SCBWI Northern Network was well represented at this year's fabulous conference held at the Redmond Marriott on April 10th and 11th. Whether you were able to attend or had to miss this year, please join us as we review the highlights of what we enjoyed and what we learned as we Stepped Into the Story Garden. What is a Schmooze?A Schmooze is a gathering of children's writers and illustrators designed to share knowledge, great news, and companionship. They are free activities offered by the SCBWI WWA Bellingham Network. A Schmooze is a great place to meet local authors and illustrators - people like you who share your interests and goals. At a Schmooze, you'll have the chance to network, make friends, and get connected. Occasionally guest speakers will be featured at a Schmooze, but usually they are meetings that are structured around discussions about various topics of interest to children's writers and illustrators. A Schmooze is not a fix-it, nor is it a forum for critique, though critique groups can grow out of a Schmooze.
