The Chinook

The Chinook is a 20-page print newsletter produced quarterly by SCBWI Western Washington. It is mailed to anyone who signs up for SCBWI Western Washington' regional programming. Inside, you'll find articles and illustrations, local news and events, interviews with authors and illustrators, announcements, marketing tidbits, and more. Regular features include:

• From the Regional Advisor's Notebook - updates from our Co-Regional Advisors
• Tales from the Trenches – Pithy interviews with local writers and illustrators enjoying a first publication or the latest achievement in a full career
• Grammar Gremlins - to assist you with those pesky details
• Key Events – information about conferences, special events, contests, and awards, including highlights of sessions at our conference and Professional Series Meetings

The Chinook Update

The Chinook Update news blog is updated almost daily during our programming season with important, time-sensitive news, market updates, and information about children’s books and the people who create them. SCBWI members and those who pay for regional programming may submit good news about publication, event invitations, and class information.
